Venin Noir surgiu em julho de 2001 fundado por Andre Diaz, Rodrigo Campilho e Larissa Frade, com a proposta de unir doom/gothic metal com influências diversas, do heavy tradicional, death, black, thrash à música clássica e erudita.

Influencias: Tristania, Sirenia, Unsun, Therion, Silent Cry, Tvangeste, Lullacry, Rapture, Nightwish...
